The Super Dentists is holding a video contest on "How My Smile Changed My Life". There will be four winners; two from the Orthodontic practice and two from the Pediatric Dental practice. Each winner will be awarded a $1,000* scholarship from The Super Dentists!
The four winners will then have another chance to win an additional $2,500* from the AAO (American Association of Orthodontists) for their submission of their video.
"What I love most about our profession is having an opportunity to make positive, long lasting changes in our patients lives," said Dr. Nazli Keri. "This is a great opportunity for our patients or their parents to say in their own words how their experience here has been life-changing," added Dr. Kami Hoss.
We want to encourage you to tell us your stories on video, answering questions such as:
- The "How My Smile Changed My Life" video contest is open to patients and/or parents of patients who are legal residents of the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and Canada, who are 18 years of age or younger as of July 15, 2010 ** and who have had, or are having dental or orthodontic treatment by The Super Dentists.
- All videos submitted become the property of The Super Dentists and may be posted in multiple online outlets by us or the AAO, shown at orthodontic or dental specialty meetings or used in advertising materials related to orthodontic and pediatric dentistry without compensation of the entrant;
- Winners agree to participate in public relations announcements by The Super Dentists, including their names, contest video link information and photographs;
- Decisions of the judges are final and will be based on creativity, personal story, enthusiasm, and tasteful use of humor, if applicable;
- *Submissions will be voided if discovered to have obtained through fraud, or if they contain inappropriate content such as vulgarity, obscenity, lewd comments, pornographic images or violent images; or if they promote violence or disparage any person or entity; or if they contain trademarked or copyrighted material;
- *Submissions may not include video or audio content of any individuals other than the entrant or their parent(s);
- *Children of the employees of The Super Dentists are not eligible to enter the contest;
- All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Additional terms and conditions apply. The 4 finalists will be selected by The Super Dentists staff and be will notified by May 31, 2010.

2009 Share-A-Smile Contest
During 2009 we had a great response from our Super Patients ™ referring their friends and family members to The Super Dentists. As a small way to thank our Super Patients ™ we held a contest for our patients, when they referred someone to our practice and that person turned in the referral card, they had a chance to win a Wii and and a Wii Fit in our drawing!!!

2009 Toy Drive with ABC10 News / Azteca and Salvation Army
We will be partnering with ABC10 and Azteca for their 2009 Toy Drive! In 1974, the late 10News weatherman "Captain" Mike Ambrose launched the first KGTV Toy Drive. That year, sixty toys were collected and delivered to disadvantaged children throughout San Diego. Thirty-five years and millions of toys later, ABC10's Toy Drive has become a heartfelt holiday tradition throughout San Diego. The need for toys continues to grow each year; that is why The Super Dentists wanted to help the community and work with them to help make sure that no child is forgotten this holiday season.
Beginning November 9th, both of our Super Dentists locations will have collection boxes ready for toys to be brought in from the community. In addition to helping the community hold the toy drive at our locations, we would like to offer something special for the people that drop off toys at our practice. For each toy that is brought in you will receive a raffle that will enable you for your chance to win FREE BRACES! That's right; for every toy that you bring in, you have more chances of winning FREE BRACES. One child or adult will be our next Super Patient™ and get FREE BRACES! when the winner is announced on Dec. 11.

December - Santa!
Santa will be visiting The Super Dentists in December at their Chula Vista location (345 F Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910) on Dec. 11th and their Eastlake location (2226 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista, CA 91915) on Dec. 18th from 2pm to 4pm and taking pictures.
Toy and Joy Festival at Salvation Army Kroc Center
The Super Dentists are the special guests at this year Toy and Joy Festival! The Tooth Keri will be here passing out toothbrushes to all the good little boys and girls. Also enjoy free ice skating, a Holiday Ice Show, a visit from Santa, cookie decorating, hot chocolate and games for those that donate a toy at the Festival.
Mother Goose Parade
The Mother Goose Parade will be lots of fun! The Super Heroes of Dentistry will be participating in the Parade on November 22, The Tooth Keri will be walking down the parade route this year be sure to mark your calendars! www.mothergooseparade.com
Starlight Parade
The Starlight Parade in Chula Vista will begin at 6pm and is hosted by the Third Avenue Association, ABC10 / Azteca America San Diego. The Tooth Keri will be on their float so make sure you wave and say hi!

The Super Bunny
Thank you to everyone that turned out to take their photos taken with The Super Bunny! We had about 200 between both locations take pictures with The Super Bunny.
The Super Bunny stopped by both of our locations:
- The Super Dentist at 345F Street #260 in Chula Vista 91910 from 1pm-4pm on April 3rd because The Super Bunny had to see their new re-modeland say hi to all the special patients!
- The Super Dentist at 2226 Otay Lakes Road in Chula Vista 91915 from 1pm-4pm on April 10th because The Super Bunny wanted to see all the special patients at this great location as well!
For those of you that did stop by either office to have your photo taken with The Super Bunny and received a small prize all photos were uploaded to photobucket.com within 24 hours and then removed from photobucket.com on April 30th.

January 2009 Coloring Contest Winner
One of the newest contests at The Super Dentists was a coloring contest that helped kids to draw and describe what their idea of what a super dentist was. They received 2 rewards points for bringing the drawing into the office and 20 reward points went to the winner.
From all the kids that submitted their fantastic artwork, Kayla Almodovar's drawing of the super dentists was chosen as the winner!!! She named one of the super dentists Shine and the other super dentist she named Bolt. She stated that their super powers are: “Shine’s smile is her power. She uses her smile by defeating her villains with a bright smile. Bolt’s power is that he can get a lightning bolt and make it strike his villains.”
It was a difficult decision to just pick one winner; everyone did a great job!!! Way to go, Kayla!!!
