Introducing Our New Song, “Brush Along With The Super Dentists”
The Super Dentists SUPER new song, “Brush Along With The Super Dentists,” is really fun and very catchy,” said Dr. Kami Hoss, The Super Dentists co-founder, who wrote the music and lyrics. The song was recorded with socially-distanced child and adult singers. Jesse Lozano, morning show personality on Star 94.1 FM filmed the video at The Super Dentists' newest location in Escondido. The video features a 30-second version of the song, but you can find the full version on your favorite online music site.
“Everything we do as a dental office is to make it fun and enjoyable for kids, because we know how critical their oral health is to their overall health and emotional well-being,” Dr. Hoss said “We want kids to look forward to going to the dentist, so they’ll take care of their teeth. So many people are scared of going to the dentist – it’s one of the top fears, after public speaking – but if your child knows they’re going to see superheroes, watch movies, sing, dance and have fun, they'll be more willing to go.”
The Super Dentists’ first song, “We Love the Super Dentists,” has been a huge hit with kids and parents alike. Parents regularly send in videos of their kids singing and dancing to the song. A two-minute version of that song is currently in all six of The Super Dentists Super Toothbrushes. The new song will be added to upcoming Super Toothbrushes, so kids will have one song to brush with in the morning and another at night, Dr. Hoss added.
“Brush Along With The Super Dentists” is available everywhere you get your favorite music including:
BRUSH ALONG WITH THE SUPER DENTISTS
We brush our teeth, We floss our teeth
And love to go to The Super Dentists.
Where kids of all ages, Parents in all stages
Can get their dream smiles with all the dental specialists.
We only have one mouth, The only word that rhymes is south
We need to care for it like our lives depend on it.
And if your mouth could talk, It could be good or be a shock
So let The Super Dentists dentists take care of it.
We got our brush - Yeah, yeah
Not in a rush -Yeah, yeah
We clean our teeth, on top in back and front.
We brush our tongue -Yeah, yeah
And sing this song - Yeah, yeah
And make our mouth happy and our teeth shine
We’re having fun - Yeah, yeah
And halfway done - Yeah, yeah
We’re feeling good and dancing to the tune
2 minutes long - Yeah, yeah
Clean teeth and tongue - Yeah, yeah
We’ll see you at The Super Dentists soon!

Why Should I Listen To Music With My Child?
Studies have shown that playing music jump-starts parts of the brain responsible for spatial-temporal reasoning – the child’s ability to identify a pattern and understand how various pieces play important roles in the pattern.
Playing music with your son or daughter may foster the development of his or her mind. Recent data indicates that music may affect the development of your child’s brain in many positive ways, including:
- Improved Brain Architecture – UPMC HealthBeat reports studies have shown that kids who learn to play a musical instrument at a young age often can improve their brain architecture.
Playing a musical instrument may help your child develop stronger connections across the corpus callosum, a band of nerve fibers that links the left and right hemispheres of the brain. These connections impact how different parts of the brain communicate with one another.
- Increased Brain Volume – Some studies have indicated there is a direct correlation between learning music and developing grey matter, darker tissue of the brain and spinal cord that helps a child process and retrieve information. Thus, playing music with your child may help him or her boost numerous intellectual and emotional skills, including:
-
- Listening
- Mathematics
- Motor skills
- Reading comprehension
- Spelling
UPMC HealthBeat also pointed out that several university researchers have found playing music jump-starts the parts of the brain that are responsible for spatial-temporal reasoning, i.e. the ability for a child to identify a pattern and understand how various pieces play important roles in the pattern itself.
As a result, playing music may enable your son or daughter to build his or her problem-solving skill set and better understand how to resolve problems both now and in the future.
- Enhanced Neural Processing – Playing music may allow your child to enhance his or her neural processing. Time reported a recent Northeastern University study revealed that children need to become active participants in a music class to reap the course’s cognitive benefits. Also, the study indicated students who played musical instruments were able to improve their neural processing more than those who did not.
4. Longer Toothbrushing - In fact, research shows a 73% increase in brushing time, when kids brush to music.
